Made.com: facilitation through complex change
One day that turned frustrated teams into owners of the fixes.
1 day
facilitated session
IT and delivery
leaders and staff in the room
Owners
of their own fix projects
The situation
During a period of complex change, leaders and staff across IT and internal delivery were frustrated and disconnected. Problems were known, but nobody felt able to fix them.
What I did
I designed and ran a one-day session in three parts.
- A state of the union: where things really stood, said out loud.
- Space to air existing problems openly, so people felt heard.
- Solutions from the people closest to the work, with each person taking ownership of a project to fix a real issue.
The result
- Buy-in from staff who had felt shut out
- Projects owned by the teams themselves, not handed down
Why it worked
People commit to change when they are heard first and own the fix.
"Peter's engaging approach and insightful feedback were instrumental in breaking down silos and bridging gaps within our teams. By the end of the day, we could see a marked improvement in the synergy among colleagues, who were now more aligned and connected than ever."
