AI internal tools for small teams
Your team is too busy to fix slow, manual work. I build custom tools shaped around how your business actually runs, removing bottlenecks and multi-step admin without adding headcount.
What I build
- Support triage and queues
- Reporting dashboards
- Onboarding and handover trackers
Price
From £3,000
Most internal tools take two to four weeks from Scoping Day to your team using it. Fixed price, agreed before I start.
Aldeburgh Coastal Cottages
£50K recovered by making hidden maintenance work visible and billable
- Before: jobs lived on paper and in two spreadsheets. Work was missed, and done work often went unbilled.
- Built: a maintenance ticketing tool and a linen tracking tool, shaped around how the team already worked.
- After: £50K recovered, a day of admin saved every week, and 750 cleans tracked each month.
Build or buy?
Off-the-shelf software is often the right answer. I will tell you if it is.
Buy when
- Your process is standard and a tool already fits it
- A few people use it and the monthly cost stays small
- You can live with how the tool wants you to work
Build when
- You are stringing spreadsheets and SaaS tools together by hand
- Per-seat pricing grows faster than your team
- The way you work is your edge, and no tool fits it
- Work is being missed or not billed because nobody can see it
Questions
- Who owns the code?
- You do. It lives in your own GitHub account, so I can carry on, or you can hand it to any developer.
- Where is it hosted, and is our data safe?
- It runs on modern cloud hosting with login, user roles and access rules set up from day one. Your data stays in your own account.
- What happens after it is built?
- I can look after it as a small monthly retainer, as part of Ops Partner work, or hand it over with notes so your team can run it.
- Can it connect to the tools we already use?
- Usually, yes. Most tools offer a way to pass data in and out, and I check this during the Scoping Day.
